Strength Through Strides
TLC is honored to represent Summer Willis and Strength Through Strides. At age 19, Summer was raped at a fraternity party at the University of Texas at Austin. At age 29, she set out to run 29 marathons in a year to focus attention on sexual assault and connect her fellow survivors for free support services through her nonprofit Strength Through Strides. Now 30, she is making inroads into politics to affect legislation calling on colleges and universities to protect students from sexual assault.
